I purchased this rice shortly after Amazon starting selling groceries. Was pleased to find a product where I could make as much as I wanted for my growing boys. Looked very similar to the rice and beans I was purchasing from the grocery store, also had similar cooking instructions so I thought good deal! Boy was I wrong! This stuff has absolutely no flavor! It is probably one of the worse side dishes I have ever tasted. We added flavoring to it and it really didn’t help. We have since thrown out all of the RiceSelect red beans we purchased. Save your money and tastebuds, buy Zatarains or Vigo red rice and beans, they have flavor-this does NOT~!

This is a good mixture of rice with red beans. The only bad thing about it is there are not enough beans in the mix. The beans add just a bit of body and interest, but I would have liked more of them.

I’ve been on a beans and rice kick, so I’ve been subscribed to this item for delivery for quite a while. I like cooking this with chicken broth and onions. Delicious!

The entire family loves this rice. Its versatile, tasty, and easy to use in various ways. We also loved the wild rice mix (in the blue-capped bottle).

My 4 year old daughter loves this rice and bean mixture. I cook it in the rice cooker and she eats every last bit of it. Great product esp. if you don’t want all the sodium that many other brands have in them.
