This is a very nice set. I like the lid rack quite a bit, although I do wish the handle didn’t have a wooden know – I like to run utensils through the dishwasher. The magnet on the lid lifter is nice and strong. Again, as others have mentioned, the jar rack is very large. It is the full 12″ described, so it doesn’t fit into a 12″ diameter pot. I haven’t been able to use it since my pot is too small, but it seems that it is pretty nice and sturdy.

This set is absolutely awesome with only one drawback…it doesn’t come in a box! It was all in a clear plastic bag that was twist-tied shut inside the shipping carton. Fine for myself but an unwanted surprise if you’re giving it as a gift. Just wanted to give a heads-up.

Great set of basic canning supplies, everything you need to get started except a book. The only thing I’d say is that the rack is quite a bit larger than I expected from the description – you need a full-size canning pot to use it. Otherwise everything was great, just as described and good quality.

I already have the red plastic canning kit – this is a great upgrade. It’s a good and very complete canning set. The stainless steel is easier to clean and sterilize. Love the funnel with its filter insert. I love the lid holder. And the added natural cheesecloth was great, too. Like the other reviewer stated, the canning rack is huge. You’d need a full-sized pot to make it work, so if you’re getting this what that item in mind, be aware.
